About Girls in Old Gold
Who we are
Girls in Old Gold is a female-focussed supporters’ group for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
We’re here for women and girls across the whole club, from the men’s team and Wolves Women to the academy and the wider Wolves community. If you follow Wolves, you belong here.
Our aim is simple: to make it easier, safer, and more enjoyable for women and girls to be part of the Wolves fanbase, on matchdays and every day.
Our mission
Girls in Old Gold creates safe, welcoming spaces for women and girls to talk football, amplifies female voices across the Wolves fanbase, advocates for female fans, inspires the next generation, and champions Wolverhampton Wanderers at every level of the club.

- Stories that reflect the whole club, including first team, Wolves Women, and academy (because all of it is Wolves)
Advocacy (with the club)
We aim to build a positive relationship with the club and help improve the supporter experience for women and girls, including:
- Raising female-specific matchday issues (facilities, safety, and fan experience)
- Improving clear reporting routes for harassment and discrimination, online and at matches
- Sharing simple guidance that helps create a better culture for everyone
Championing Wolves across the club
We support Wolves, full stop. That includes:
- Backing the men’s team home and away
- Promoting and attending Wolves Women fixtures
- Celebrating academy pathways and the future of the club
- Engaging and working with other fan groups.
- showing up for club and community moments that matter
Our values
- Welcoming: every woman and girl belongs here.
- Respect: zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination.
- Courage: we speak up and stand together.
- Joy: football is for fun, friendship, and pride in the Old Gold and Black.
A bit about our founder
Emma Milton founded Girls in Old Gold in October 2025.
Emma has been an advocate for women’s voices for many years. Having experienced sex discrimination in the workplace, she knows first-hand the consequences. Emma believes it is important to prevent discrimination by nipping sexism in the bud, and that the best way to do this is to champion women and give them a voice.
Emma goes to all Wolves men’s games, home and away, and to Wolves Women matches as often as she can. She is an ambassador for Her Game Too and the Editor and Producer for Always Wolves.
